Dr Jerry Lynch, our esteemed co-host of this podcast, has just released his fifteenth book Everyday Champion Wisdom: Mindful Lessons in Mastery for Coaching, Competing, and Cohesive Teams. In this week's episode, John and Jerry discuss the book, which is a collection of Jerry's greatest hits over fifty years of working within elite collegiate, Olympic and professional sports. His teams have won 115 conference, regional and national championships, and his new books shares 142 short, poignant lessons from each of those teams. It includes wisdom from his consultancies with 12 Hall of Fame coaches, his daily blogs, his Way of Champions podcasts, the hundreds of JEREmail letters written to teams that reinforced his teaching and set the tone for competitive events, and his many keynote talks at coach and athletic conferences, as well as selected gems of wisdom from several of his published works. It is a great tool that coaches can share with their athletes on a daily basis to help improve focus, belonging, and competitiveness.
